Stand With David: Overcoming Spinal COrd Injury

05/28/25
David, the oldest son of one of our local families, suffered a severe spinal cord injury during a trampoline accident. While attempting a flip, David landed on his neck and fractured his C6 vertebrae. He was immediately life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he began the critical early stages of care.
When Brent heard about David’s accident, it struck a deeply personal chord. Brent’s own experience with spinal cord injury and recovery gave him unique insight into what David and his family were suddenly facing — the fear, the uncertainty, the long road ahead. Brent didn’t hesitate to take action. He reached out to David’s family and recommended the Craig Hospital in Colorado, one of the nation’s leading spinal cord injury rehabilitation centers — and the same place that helped Brent begin his recovery journey years ago. Thanks to his connection and support, David was admitted to Craig and transported there via a medically coordinated flight.
Now, with a dedicated team of specialists working closely with him, David is focused on regaining mobility, strength, and independence. But recovery doesn’t stop when the hospital stay ends. Before David returns home, his family will need to make important modifications to their home to ensure it’s safe and accessible for his new mobility needs — and that’s where The Brent Oliver 541 Foundation is stepping in. We are currently raising funds to help support these home modifications — including accessible entryways, bathroom adjustments, and other improvements that will help David continue his recovery in a space built to support him.
This is exactly why The Brent Oliver 541 Foundation exists: to meet people in the hardest chapters of their lives, and help them take the next step forward — with dignity, with hope, and with support. We invite you to join us in supporting David and his family. Every donation, every share, every bit of encouragement makes a difference! To donate or learn more, visit our Donate page or reach out to us directly.
Together, we can help David get home — and help make that home ready for him!
